Coveted Couture - Sexy Swimwear!

I usually play it safe with a bikini that serves a dual purpose of both tanning and swimming, but this summer I'm definitely getting my hands on, either, a sexy one-piece or something sailor-inspired! Just look at these pics I discovered on the web. It takes swimwear, and even the once-considered-boring-and-conservative one-piece, to a whole other level. A sexy, fashionable and daring level.

I am SO in love with anything sailor-like!
I just love how this bikini almost borders on the lingerie-line.
Bad for tanning. Great for grabbing attention!
How sexy is this purple one? Absolute must-have for me!

This is just uber sexy!

Grey, another colour that's so big right now.
What do you think ladies? It sure gets my juicy stamp of approval. Actually, it just put me in the mood for swimwear shopping. Ah, Summer, I can't wait for you...

Celebrities' Coveted Closets

Damn, now my teensy walk-in wardrobe seems so, well, teensy in comparison to celebrities' closets! Even if mine was bigger, I wouldn't have been able to fill it out with designer gear, dreamy handbags, a collection of cocktail dresses or Jimmy Choos!

Here's a peek into some celebrities' closets (should we be happy that they share the pictures or totally envious of all their, mostly free, fabulous stuff?):

Christina Aguilera

Just look at all those shoes! She arranges it by designs, so a shelf for YSL, a shelf for Christian Louboutin and so on. And apparently she's got a whole different room for boots! Ah, jealous much?

Mariah Carey

Her closet looks like a boutique. A very expensive one at that. Only shoes and bags are featured here, so I can only imagine what the rest of her closet looks like where the clothes are. Mariah, you give me a call when you want to throw out some stuff, ok? I'll gladly take it off your hands (and feet).

Paula Abdul

I like her closet! It's messy and organised at the same time, it looks like she actually wears all those shoes and it features some sunnies. By saying I want a closet like hers (one day), is definitely more of a realistic dream.

Nicky Hilton

Now this is one lady whose closet I wouldn't mind raiding, and, when I'm done, I'm paying a visit to her sister's closet too! This picture probably doesn't do Nicky's closet any justice, but I'm so stealing her glass doors idea!

Rachel Zoe

Ah, finally a closet with some character! I bet you it's filled with loads of dresses and Louis Vuitton bags. It pays to style, darlings.

Kimora Lee Simmons

When it comes to fabulousity, clothes, bags, dresses and shoes, she takes the cake! She's got the mother of all walk-in wardrobes. Thanks to her reality TV programme, I've had the opportunity of seeing her entire closet and she's got shoes stacked to the roof. She says "shoes are fabulous, even if they're not always comfortable. You just have to suffer for beauty, honey". Hail to the queen!

Miley Cyrus

Between all the glitter and blonde wigs, I don't think there's much I'd want from her closet, but I totally love how she displays her shoes against that pink background.

Jessica Alba

Another shoe-lover and boy, does she have some really nice shoes! And hats. But I would've preferred to see her bikini collection instead.

Girls, we are allowed to dream. Sigh.

Coveted Couture!

Of the many things that have made a comeback this winter, I would have to say grey nail polish and name necklaces are my favourite! With any fashion-first, I'll let everyone else try it while I observe from the corner, but it didn't take me too long to be a victim of this trend too. In fact, it didn't take much persuasion at all!

I usually hate fashion comebacks for three reasons: one, I had that exact item five years ago, when it was a quarter of the current price, and it would've been considered vintage now! And, two, clothes don't really change that much when it comes from the 80's to haunt us. As in, no reinvention. Three, why should there even be a comeback? There's probably a reason it didn't stay in fashion. Attention designers, stylists and buyers, think of some fresh vogue for the next season!

There are exceptions with comebacks, but glitter pants, shoulder-pads and flower hats aren't one of them. To think grey was previously considered sombre, conventional or restrained in style and avoided showiness. But now, now we wear grey nail polish, grey boots, grey jackets, grey leggings and grey eye-shadow! Oh how bold we have become. Just vivaciously fabulous! I did my nails last night and my colour is actually called 'Dove grey'. What do you think?

Then name necklaces, I thought, were reserved for only for Carrie Bradshaw and Christina Aguilera, but not anymore it aint! It's definitely a one-size-fits-all fashion! I don't know if I'd hang my name around my neck (...stepping back into my corner, observing, hoping someone would break the ice...), but I'd definitely go for phrases, a word (like the 'love' one I bought) or even an initial.

Ooh, speaking of initials, visit Being Brazen's blog and enter her name necklace giveaway! I really want this one BB!
