It's Friday and I...

... have got nothing planned for the weekend! Great, because I need to catch up on some sleep.
... should go jogging too!
... will probably do the weekly mani- and pedicure evening at my house tonight with all the girls.
... am shooting another music on Sunday. This time with Taxi Violence.
... will, just like I always do, share all the behind-the-scenes stuff with you. Also look out for tweets and twitpics from me from the location.
... also have a photo shoot in 2 weeks to build-up a kick-ass portfolio. We're shooting at 15 on Orange, Llundadno and POD Boutique Hotel. It's going to be insane, so watch this space!
... am still on the hunt for lingerie and swimwear sponsors for two of the scenes! E-mail me if you'd like to help or need more info.
... don't remember the last time I won something.
... am looking forward to my sister's beach party next weekend!
... am single and loving it, but (im)patiently waiting for my knight in shining armor. (What's taking you so long?)
... am in need of proper wining and dining (followed by retail therapy).
... am happy and relieved that my Cavalli shades have been returned to me, undamaged.
... just realised that 11 years ago I had my first kiss. Wow, that just made me feel really old!
... hope I'm not mistaken, but isn't it Tracy McGregor's birthday today? Happy birthday hun!

Happy Friday! This is my last free weekend for months to come! It's almost too much freedom for me!

I'm not dead!

By now, days since my last post, you must think that I'm six feet under. I'm here. I'm not dead. What have I been up to?

I bathed in my bikini while drinking and eating salty chips. No, I don't think I have a problem.

I played swing-ball for the first time in years! I was stiff for three days after this. Yes, I'm that unfit.

I went cocktail tasting. You can never be sure until you've tried 'em all. Ok, perhaps I have a drinking problem, but who's complaining?

I went to a Moulin Rouge party and that's where I lost my camera. Blame it on the a-a-a-alcohol!

I went for a mini make-over, followed by an interview with Woelag. My sister and I will feature on their webiste real soon. Video clip, photos... the works!

I went house-hunting and found a place. Finally!

I went cocktail-dress-hunting.

I partied with my cousin and we danced on stage all night.

This is pretty much it. I've been out and about, and also spent some time creating a Facebook page for our Twice the Taste blog. The blog is still not what we want it to be, but the Facebook page is updated daily with photos and statuses. Please like it.

Happy Monday! Let's hope this day goes by fast.

This Weekend I...

... escaped from the city life and the rat race. I escaped from the crazy, partying, drunken night life. And just escaped to the shores of Blaauwberg strand. I didn't exactly have a detoxing weekend or caught up on some sleep, but I wore a bikini for the first time in months, sat topless in a jacuzzi with my friends and drank loads of wine, with the sun baking on my pale skin. I mingled and I met new people. I laughed, I sang and I danced. That's the stuff weekends are made of.

This weekend I woke up to this lovely view from my bedroom.

I had delicious Mermaid's Orgasm cocktails at Blue Peter with my best friend.

I posed like a moron with all these funky shades, but my friends seemed to enjoy the entertainment.

Ok, ok, enough of me. My friend, Ivan, and I sat by the pool. Just chillin'. Pondering. Posing. Pouting.

When the wine started flowing, the girls took their tops off. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Even though I'd love to share more of these pics, I'm afraid my friends will kill me and make it look like an accident.

Tops back on again!

My sister joined the party and brought cocktails!

At first she was a little intimidated by all the, er, flesh, but after some more cocktails, she joined the party. I'm supposed to be the older, wiser and responsible sister. Blah blah blah. I prefer to be the fun and cool sister instead.

And so the fun continued. I spent the whole of Sunday recovering, because Saturday evening my friend convinced me to go to The Butterfly Club. A lesbian club, as I discovered (only upon arrival). BUT I'm saving that for another post as I have loads to tell.

Happy Monday my lovelies! Hope your weekend was as much fun as mine.

Coveted Couture - Sexy Swimwear!

I usually play it safe with a bikini that serves a dual purpose of both tanning and swimming, but this summer I'm definitely getting my hands on, either, a sexy one-piece or something sailor-inspired! Just look at these pics I discovered on the web. It takes swimwear, and even the once-considered-boring-and-conservative one-piece, to a whole other level. A sexy, fashionable and daring level.

I am SO in love with anything sailor-like!
I just love how this bikini almost borders on the lingerie-line.
Bad for tanning. Great for grabbing attention!
How sexy is this purple one? Absolute must-have for me!

This is just uber sexy!

Grey, another colour that's so big right now.
What do you think ladies? It sure gets my juicy stamp of approval. Actually, it just put me in the mood for swimwear shopping. Ah, Summer, I can't wait for you...

Things every girl SHOULD invest in!

Here are some fashionable and girly things, I believe, every girl should have. Yes, you are allowed to call them 'investments'.

You should definitely make sure you have that sexy little black dress in your wardrobe for a special occasion or for that date.

Invest in a proper handbag. Maybe not Louis Vuitton but a fashionable handbag that will last you a lifetime! Remember, we carry our lives in them, so get something that reflects who you are.

Every girl should have a really sexy bikini that's unpractical and not made for swimming or water sports. At all. Yes, the bikini that you wear to Clifton or Malibu only.

BOOTS! It could get pricy, but leather boots really last and the longer you wear it, the more character it gets.

Every girl should definitely invest in a proper nail polish (essie is a great choice) in a daring colour!

Oversized earrings make such a statement and it glams up any outfit! Oversized-anything is good, actually!

I'll admit, perfume is something I'm really stingy to spend money on, but I believe that every girl should have a bottle of expensive perfume. Don't wear it every day. Only wear it on really special occasions. Your smell says a lot about you and something that will always be associated with you.
Why not go the girly route and own a pink gadget? I have a pink flash drive, a pink iPod and a pink camera, and I love it! Even my laptop has got pink prints on it.
I know a girl can never have enough shoes (and I will always encourage this), but invest in, at least, one pair of great heels. Believe me, the feeling of wearing designer heels that had cost you a small fortune, just gives you such an amazing feeling. In those shoes, you will conquer the world. And remember, the uncomfortable ones are usually the ones that make the statement. So we all suffer for beauty.

I don't think I need to elaborate, but yes, sexy lingerie is essential.

Sunglasses, an absolute must-have, but not just any! It really is worth it to spend money on decent shades, because, after all, this is one accessory that actually serves a purpose! I've just started with my collection.

Last, but not least, get some sailor-inspired fashion items. It's going to be big this summer! Think red, navy, white, stripes, anchors or even a Captain's hat!

What other things can you add to this list, girls?
