It's Friday and I...

... have decided that Lola Ponce (the Argentinean singer) is my new inspiriation to get my ass in gym everyday. I want a body like that! Spill it girl. What is your secret?
... have no special plans for the weekend (yes, again), but I have another upcoming celebrity event. Watch this space!
... didn't realise that stage 2 of a break-up lasts this long. Sigh.
... did karaoke last night with a friend. As you know, I can't say no to karaoke! At all.
... received a great response to my giveaway. If you haven't entered yet, please do!
... don't understand the weather in Cape Town. Another dark, cold, windy day. Bleh.
... am itching to dye my hair dark again with bangs and all. I feel like a change!
... haven't been pole dancing in a while, but I'm not looking forward to the aftermath. Stifness!
... saw the most beautiful skinny jeans and nude gladiators at Guess. I didn't even want to look at the price tag.
... am looking forward to our girls weekend. It's around the corner! Trip planned, house booked, six girls on board, bikini shopping planned and two extra days off from work. Enough said.
... have finally won something! A DKNY Be Delicious mini coffret set from Fairlady magazine. Lucky me, but I'd prefer to win some cash.

What fun things are y'all up to this weekend? Whatever you get up to, enjoy it and keep safe!
Happy Friday! Finally.

Motivation for Monday!

Good morning darlings! What a lovely feeling to be fresh on a Monday and to be able to post a little motivation for today. Believe it or not, my darlings, I haven't been partying this weekend, though I'm sure I'll make up for lost time. One thing I did do, was an interview with a new blogger on the scene Rex Rothchild and trust me, if you don't like controversy or tackling really touchy subjects, best you don't visit his blog. But if you can handle it, you'll see the interview I did with him yesterday. It's all about 'Yolandi vs. Jemma' and we discussed everything from blogging to Jessica Alba's ass to sex toys to brands and even party spots. You'll see a whole other side to me.

On a different, more motivational, note, I would like to leave you with this quote. It's something I live by, especially when it comes to my dreams (and boy, do I have many):

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined."

Let me know what you think about the interview.
Happy reading and happy Monday!

Motivation for Monday

I've had a wonderful weekend with very little sleep, so I almost didn't do a post for a lil' motivation for Monday. This weekend I discovered, yet again, how important it is to have fun, for girls to go on road trips, to surround yourself with wonderful people, to let your hair down and to laugh! These are the ingredients to positive thinking and a positive attitude. I recommend it!

“Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.”

Just like my temper today, I'm keeping this post short (but the party was totally worth it)!

Happy Monday everyone!

PS - I will definitely share the pictures, so please come back real soon!

Motivation for Monday!

It's Monday again and, with a five-day week ahead, it seems that we need more than just a little motivation. It's that time of the year where the last holiday break seems ages ago and the next one, ages light years away!

Here's an inspirational quote to get you through the day and, perhaps, even through the week!

"Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action". I love this quote and piece of advice. Remember, you determine your own happiness, so take control and take action.

Happy Monday my lovely readers.

Motivation for Monday!

This week I dealt with some jealous and nasty girls (there aren't really any reason to be jealous of me, I promise... flaws swathe me like a rash!) and, even though I wanted to kill them, I walked away from it all with a very important lesson (which I'm sharing, of course). Whether you deal with a sibling whose jealous of your wardrobe, a colleague jealous of the attention you get from the boss, colleagues who are jealous because you are the boss, a friend who's envious of your eat-all-you-can-and-stay-thin-without-exercise hot bod, a jealous boyfriend/ girlfriend or just anyone who wants to steal your hard-earned shine from you, follow this advice:

"Smile and wave. It will piss them off the most"

A very dear friend of mine sent me this and every time I want to embrace the bitch inside me, I bite my lip and think of this quote. I know the World (and the office) would be very boring without bitch fights, but let's try to keep it clean and piss them off instead. Not so?

Happy Monday my peeps!

Motivation for Monday!

I had a really busy weekend behind me and all I can think of right now, is my bed! If you, just like me and probably the rest of the world, need a little something to get you through the day, here's an inspirational quote Sasha Martinengo sent me last week. It was this quote that helped me make the biggest decision to date...

"Do what makes YOU happy. Forget about tomorrow"

It sounds so reckless, but I love how I can just use this quote forever in every situation. Remember, you only have one life to live, so make every decision, every moment, every movement count today. One day you're going to look back on your life, so make sure those stories you tell your grandchildren, are going to be memorable.

Happy Monday darlings!

Could a fortune cookie really be so inspiring?

Fortune cookies are much like a box of chocolates. You never know what (message) you're gonna get. Sometimes it's a random quote, sometimes a riddle and sometimes Lotto numbers, but the weirdest message I have found in mine, was 'a child will bring happiness'. That brought everything but happiness. It scared the shit out of my boyfriend!

So when I saw this quote, I found it rather inspiring! You know, almost like it's talking directly to me. Here's hoping my dream(s) will come true!

What messages have you found in a fortune cookie before?
