It's Friday and I...

... would like to wish my sister a happy belated birthday! You are going to die when you see your gift!
... am looking forward to her pool party tomorrow! Which bikini to wear?
... just went shopping! Aldo and YDE are my guilty pleasures.
... am in the best mood ever because of my 'little' retail therapy session.
... have one week left to get in shape. Major photo shoot happening, as you know, and I can't look kak.
... wouldn't have had to worry about crash diets if I just went to gym everyday and weren't so addicted to bread and cheese! Anybody else share my problem?
... have a dinner-date with my bff tonight. Wonder where she's taking me.
... must wear my new dress tonight, where ever it is we're going.
... love Alexis Jordan! She is my favourite artist right now! Why doesn't Musica have her album?
... didn't go home empty handed from Musica. Got Rihanna's new album!
... have a hair appointment tomorrow. Going lighter. I guess blondes do have more fun.
... am addicted to Glaceau Vitamin Water!
... will attempt gardening on Sunday. There's no way that my garden can turn out looking worse!

Happy Friday and have fabulous weekend! One week left till my big photo shoot! Most things are in place. I can't wait to share those behind-the-scenes with you and, especially, the end results!

Kim and Khloe Kardashian at the Brutal Fruit Cranberry Launch!

When Brutal Fruit hosted the official launch party (last Friday) of the Cheeky Cranberry flavour at the Fugard Theatre in Cape Town, they sure didn't hold back. What better celebs to endorse your product than the Kardashian sisters? Yes, you heard right, Kim and Khloe were here in South Africa for a few days and boy, did they create a stir. I was lucky enough to get my name on that coveted guest list and even luckier to actually meet them. As much as I would like to blog about the party and the hot new flavour, I'm just too star-struck!

Kim is absolutely beautiful in real life, as in, way hotter than she is on TV. I was surprised as to how tiny she actually is! Khloe is so much fun and just as crazy as we all know her to be. They didn't disappoint and they weren't divas at all. They posed for pictures, signed books and post cards and were just all smiles.

Girls, come back any day. We love you! Well done to Brutal Fruit for pulling off this absolutely fabulous event! Apart from the Kardashians, there were loads of other things to entertain the guests, such as a massage room, a gift corner and loads of free pink drinks! Local celebs, such as Idols presenter, Liezel van der Westhuizen, Nicky Greenwall and former Miss SA, Jo-Ann Strauss, to name a few, also attended the event.
The pink gift shop.

Kim and Khloe in VIP. Everybody tries to get a picture.

Kim signing a book for a fan.

My favourite photo! Pictured here with one of my best friends and fitness blogger, Johlene

I bumped into Alex aka Cape Town Girl

One room in the theatre was transformed into a massage room. Foot massages by Mangwanani Spa, a counter with blushers and powders from MAC make-up, perfume testers of the new KK by Kim Kardashian and then a photo which is printed on the spot for you. They rotate the picture and edit it so that it looks as though you're sitting in a martini glass. Kim and Khloe signed my photo.

Johlene getting her picture taken.

Naturally, all attention was focused on the Kardashians, so when they left the party to fly back to LA, we could finally get our drink on...

My dress.

Thank you to Shabby Chic for doing our hair on such short notice! And a big thank you to Monique at Siren Design (at YDE) for gearing me with a really sexy dress!

Ok, back to reality for me!
Happy Holidays everyone!

It's Friday and I...

... absolutely cannot wait for my best friend's Sailor-themed birthday party. This is my outfit.
... am hitting the gym really hard to be able to pull it off!
... received photos from the photographer who did a 'mini shoot' at the Woelag interview. Watch this space for uploads.
... will be paying some attention to our blog today. The logo is being designed as we speak.
... am being whisked away for a romantic weekend. I wonder what the boyfriend planned. Oooh!
... am very excited about our Beer Fest Competition! Have you sent me your entries yet? No? Click here to see how you can win a party with my sister and I at Cape Town Festival of Beer.
... am building quite a collection of YDE dresses! I just can't leave that shop empty-handed.
... am meeting up with all my gal pals tomorrow at the Mount Nelson Hotel for a champagne breakfast.
... really can't wait to see the music video for Dinosaur. Any day now!
... am counting down the minutes to the big move. Yes, yes, I will be driving you crazy with all my house-moving-talk.
... don't wanna work today (or ever, really)!
... couldn't care less about the royal engagement. Pfft.
... have started with my Christmas shopping. It is my favourite time of the year.
... will be on leave in less than a month. Bring on the holiday and relaxation!
... love my dark hair, but I'm over the fringe. Even though it looks cool, it's so unpractical on hot days.
... am just going to take it easy this weekend, because next weekend I have to squeeze in four events in three days PLUS packing. I'm going to need loads of energy drinks or super powers.

Happy Friday everyone!

It's Friday and I...

... did some mid-week shopping! There is no way to express my love for YDE dresses!
... know I look crap in these pics, but when I shop, I mean business. I'm not there to look pretty.
... didn't realise how expensive furniture is, or how much I needed, until now.
... am going to do a whole Vintage theme for my new room.
... am really looking forward to moving into my own house. Two weeks and counting!
... am planning a detox weekend. Loads of sleep, water, gym and lounging around. We need those ever so often.
... haven't been exercising at all the last month, but does anyone else hate gym as much as I do?
... am going to try really hard to go to gym at least twice this weekend. If it rains, then you know I actually went.
... have an upcoming sailor-themed party! The outfits are on their way from JHB.
... am worried about my car. It's making really funny noises after I drove on a gravel road. Damn, like I need this right now.
... feel like a romantic getaway somewhere quiet with spa facilities.
... watched Cake Boss on the Discovery channel and I think it's one big act. Bad acting at that.
... can't wait to see my best friends tonight. We have so much catching up to do!
... am really excited! The music video for Jax Panik I danced in, is out on Monday. I will definitely put it on my blog as soon as I get it.
... am also kinda scared to see the video!
... didn't know a fringe is such high maintenance. Gone are the wash-and-go days.
... crave chicken strips with a cheese sauce. Or wait, chili sauce!
... hate being told what to do, what not to do or how to live my life. I'm having a blast and that is exactly what life is all about.
... know I'm going to tell amazing stories to my grandchildren one day.

It's Friday everyone!! Let's get this weekend started. At last.

It's Friday and I...

... went lingerie shopping last night. Corsets from Wonderbra.
... am attending a Moulin Rouge party tonight, hence the corset shopping. Ooh, can't wait!
... had a look at models/ finalists from the Wonderbra Model Search and saw a few girls with potential, but also saw loads of fake tits.
... did a lot of house hunting this week. Fun and depressing at the same time!
... fell in love with a house in Loevenstein, but the ridiculous deposit kinda screw me over.
... can't follow any more people on Twitter, because I've reached my limit. I will follow every follower of mine as soon as I can. Just had to put this out there.
... am featuring on YDE's Facebook Fanpage, modelling their new range, Siren Design.
... laugh every time I visit the Woelag website, but you have to be Afrikaans to appreciate this. Damn funny!
... had an interview with iDale yesterday about 'Where Bloggers Break Bread'. Keep an eye on his website to read about where cool bloggers love to wine and dine. The post should be up soooon!
... might be in a movie next year if everything works out. Hold thumbs for me.
... am also starting a new blog, but it will be a joint venture with my sister. Trust me, it's gonna rock!
... am keeping this list short as I am not feeling creative today.

Happy Friday everyone! Let's get this weekend started.

Siren Design at YDE - here it is!

Last week I went for a photo shoot for Siren Design, a new range at Young Designers Emporium (YDE), and I shared all the exclusive behind-the-scenes juiciness with you. I received some of the final photos from the amazing photographer, Drikus Le Roux. Not only do I want to share the photos with you, but I want you to have another look at the amazing dresses that are all available at YDE!

This has to be my favourite photo!

That bunny is just killing me. He is just overloaded with cuteness and fur.

Behind the Scenes of the SIREN Photo Shoot: New Range at YDE

Yesterday I had the most fun at this photo shoot! As in, total. The shoot was for a new label called Siren, new at YDE, and the pictures will be used for advertising purposes. I was the lucky girl who got to wear these lovely dresses and model them for the designer.

More about the label:

Monique du Preez, designer of Siren, launched this fabulous label earlier this month. The range is available at seven YDE branches already - Century City, Cresta, Centurion, Gateway, Loch Logan, Rosebank and The Glen.

This is Monique hard at work.

Have a look at the absolutely stunning dresses, some of which are already in the shops! These were taken with my camera in between breaks, but I will definitely put the final results up as soon as I get it and leave the link to the YDE fan page on Facebook. How cute are my fellow-models? One rabbit got the hang of posing while the other one hid in the corner.

The talented Eloise Dreyer did my hair and make-up. She really lived up to her reputation and she did an excellent job. I mean, who does hair and make-up, flawlessly, in 15 minutes? Between touching up my make-up and curling my hair, she had time to tweet, take pictures with my camera and even helped me with posing. Oh, she also gave me a small gift - lip gloss with a built-in light! I loved working with her and I hope that we get to do it again real soon.

Drikus le Roux did the photography. He is an awesome person and made me feel really comfortable in front of the lens. We had total fun - playing with bubblegum, pulling my hair, kissing rabbits and loads of jump shots. I cannot wait to see the final results!

Girls, these dresses are really lovely and I am going to buy the floral one on my next trip to YDE. Thank you to the wonderful team I worked with yesterday and a special thank you to Monique for letting me choose a dress to keep. This is the one I decided on. Love it.

Saw anything you like ladies? Now go shopping!

Here is one photo so long that was just put on Drikus' facebook group. Isn't he amazing?
