This Weekend I...

... visited friends in Wellington and partied in Stellenbosch. It's nice to get away from the bright lights of the City and surround myself with a different scenery. Two things I did this weekend - and those who know me will probably laugh - which were completely out of my comfort zone, and simply because I'm one fussy chick, were staying on a farm and going to a 'lang-arm' place. What's so odd about this? Well, I love these two things as much as I love public bathrooms and camping in a tent. It's just not how I roll. The whole 'farm thing' was, erm, bearable, because I love animals, but who would've thought that chickens and cows can be so noisy. And then I'm not even going to elaborate on the smells, flies, muddy pot holes and hayfever. Yes, I'm a 'typical girl from the City'. Thank you for that one.

After the torture at this 'lang-arm' place, I was relieved when we could go dancing in Stellenbosch Saturday evening. It was nice to dance to 'real' music again and mingle with fashion-forward people. I even bumped into friends and made new ones.

It's almost impossible to just get a nice picture-perfect normal picture with the boyfriend.

Then we took to the stage for some serious dancing and that's where we stayed for the remainder of the night. The DJ was awesome!

This weekend made me realise, yet again, that it doesn't matter where you are in the world, but if you're with a fun crowd and great people, you'll have fun. No matter what. Yes, even on a farm.

Aargh, counting down the days till Friday. Man, I sometimes feel like I'm living for weekends only. Ooh and pay days.

It's Friday and I...

... have some really big things planned with my life over the next couple of months. My sister will be doing it with me - yup, twins really do everything together. Goodbye boring corporate world. Hello billboards!
... am featuring on Bobbylicious' website today. Check out the interview done by the cool chick!
... am also featuring on Drikus le Roux's website today.
... am going to Hermanus again for the weekend. Sun, please shine and bake on my pale skin!
... strongly believe in the power of advertising.
... went for a hot-stone massage last night. Ah, my shoulders are killing me today!
... love being the face of Siren Design. If I could, I would sleep in those dresses too!
... really want a Blackberry! Upgrade, where are you?
... am house-hunting. Three young, single, party animal girls under one roof? Oh boy!
... am totally looking forward to Sunday! I'm shooting a music video with Jax Panik. Yes, I'm gonna be in it. Stoked.
... am memorising lyrics for the new song like CRAZY! 'I'm a rock star, play me like a guitar' is about the only line in the song I've got covered, but I totally dig Dinosaur, the song the music video is being done for.
... don't wanna be productive today. At all. Unless shopping counts.
... am suffering from hay fever. *sneeze*
... realised why I went through that break-up and why I have to be single right now.
... really want a faster car! Anybody? Daddy? Potential boyfriend?
... miss my best friend. I haven't seen her this whole week!
... have quit smoking! It's just not a sexy look for me.
... love how my Facebook statuses always create some sort of stir.
... think that we should plan a girls' weekend for Capetonian blogging babes! Sounds like fun to me!

It's Friday peeps, finally! What are y'alls up to this weekend? Anybody in Hermanus? Let me know and I might just join you for a cocktail.

Wild girls on the loose!

This weekend I had a blast! It's like, every weekend I try to top the previous one. Well, mission accomplished! I don't think there's going to be a Motivation for Monday post, because today I don't have any. Wait, there is and it's called coffee.

I get so many requests from readers to share my party pics, so, here goes.

Friday I grabbed a few girlfriends and went out. I even bumped into fellow blogger Heidi (Farm Girl) and the lovely Eloise Dreyer. I took them to China White where DJ Lady Lea was playing. We had the time of our lives!

My outfit. I love this denim top from WWW at Foschini

I've known these people since school! Great friends!

Ladies, he is single!

Always with drink in hand. Always on the dance floor.

With my bestie, Esme
Saturday I spent the day recovering and assisting my friend and sister with a photo shoot. The only thing I was good at, was helping the model with posing. My sister is building up a portfolio for her stylist-in-the-making project and is giving all her friends free make-overs. Have a look...

This is the before photo...

And the after! What an improvement!

Sunday, a day I promised to use for relaxation purposes only (but what are rules if not for breaking, right?), I went to a Women's Day event with all my girlfriends. Uhm, girls that are friends, just to clarify. When I stepped foot inside the club, I was given a glass of champagne and a goodie bag, I knew things were gonna be good. Free access to tarot card readers and make-up artists, sexy promo girls walking around, HOT men parading around in their Jockeys and they are covered in oil. The men, that is. Yup, that was definitely my new favourite thing to do on a Sunday. AND, as if my day wasn't going great already, I won a pink vibrator in a lucky draw! It's still in its packaging, just so you know. Here are more pics of all the wild girls on the loose!

Looking a little fragile...

Uhm, well, yummy!

It was no coincidence that I received the devil-horns while everyone else got bunny-ears...

Four shooters for the ladies, please

Cherries - my drinks are nothing without it

Uh oh! When those horns are glowing... that's when you know!

So that was my weekend for you! Wild. Hectic. Fun.

I'm young, single and I LOVE to mingle!

As I'm approaching the end of Stage 2, I'm starting to get over the whole break-up and heart-break and decided it was time I go out and let my hair down. Which is exactly what I did this last couple of days.

Allow me to share some party pics with you. Some sober. Some completely, er, not.

Pouting. Blame it on the a-a-alcohol.
Girls' nights really cheer me up!
More girls. More pouting. Hey, is that some gay-action in the background?

The little black dress - essential in every girl's cupboard!

Me with my sister again.

Who knew that girls could have so much fun in the bathroom...

I have come to the conclusion that partying is great therapy, so I shall go for this therapy from now on. Regularly. If you've just come out of a relationship and are really struggling to deal with it all, get your ass out of the house and go out. Party, dance, dress-up, catch-up and mingle. It worked for me.

The six star hangover!

I've received an e-mail about the different kinds of hangovers, but the six star hangover just took me back to my party days. Actually, just took me back to last weekend. Nevertheless, I'm sharing it with you, but edited it according to my experiences. If you can't relate, then you haven't partied. And I mean, partied.

You arrive home after a party and climb into bed. Sleep comes instantly, as you were fighting it all the way home in the taxi. You get about 2 hours sleep until the noises in your head wake you up. You notice that your bed has been cleared for take-off and is flying relentlessly around the room. It's spinning really fast and you're clutching the duvet in the hope not to fall off. No matter what you do now, you're going to chuck. You stumble out of bed and notice that your room as turned into a yacht under full sail with rough seas under your feet. Is this even your room? After stumbling down the passage, alternating between the two walls, you find your way to the toilet. The light has never seemed so bright. Hopefully you are lucky enough to reach the toilet in time and remember to lift the lid before you spontaneously explode. You wake the whole house up with your impersonation of walrus mating calls. You sit there on the floor in your undies, clutching the only friend you have left in the world (the toilet), randomly continuing to make the walrus noises, spitting, and farting. Help usually comes at this stage, even if it is short-lived. Tears stream down your face and your abdomen hurts. Help now turns into abuse and your partner usually goes back to bed, leaving you there in the dark. With your stomach totally empty, your spontaneous eruptions have died back to 15-min intervals, but your body won't relent. You are convinced that you are starting to turn yourself inside out and swear that you saw your tonsils shoot out of your mouth on the last occasion. Or was that perhaps a piece of your liver? It is now dawn and you pass your disgusted partner getting up for the day as you try to climb into bed. Your partner abuses you again for trying to get into bed with lumpy bits or dried vomit in your hair. You reek of vomit, tequila and cigarettes, and your body is ice cold. All you want now is sleep, but you reluctantly accept your partner's advice and have a shower in exchange for them driving you to the hospital. Death seems like an easy way out. Work is simply not an option. The whole day is spent trying to avoid anything that will make you sick again, like moving. You want to cry but that would take the last drop of moisture out of your body. All you want now is a full English breakfast with loads of fries and a 2L Creamsoda. You vow never to touch a drop of alcohol again and who knows, for the next two or three hours you might even succeed.

Ok, now hands up all those who have had a six star hangover! Thought so.
