It's Friday and I...

... have some really big things planned with my life over the next couple of months. My sister will be doing it with me - yup, twins really do everything together. Goodbye boring corporate world. Hello billboards!
... am featuring on Bobbylicious' website today. Check out the interview done by the cool chick!
... am also featuring on Drikus le Roux's website today.
... am going to Hermanus again for the weekend. Sun, please shine and bake on my pale skin!
... strongly believe in the power of advertising.
... went for a hot-stone massage last night. Ah, my shoulders are killing me today!
... love being the face of Siren Design. If I could, I would sleep in those dresses too!
... really want a Blackberry! Upgrade, where are you?
... am house-hunting. Three young, single, party animal girls under one roof? Oh boy!
... am totally looking forward to Sunday! I'm shooting a music video with Jax Panik. Yes, I'm gonna be in it. Stoked.
... am memorising lyrics for the new song like CRAZY! 'I'm a rock star, play me like a guitar' is about the only line in the song I've got covered, but I totally dig Dinosaur, the song the music video is being done for.
... don't wanna be productive today. At all. Unless shopping counts.
... am suffering from hay fever. *sneeze*
... realised why I went through that break-up and why I have to be single right now.
... really want a faster car! Anybody? Daddy? Potential boyfriend?
... miss my best friend. I haven't seen her this whole week!
... have quit smoking! It's just not a sexy look for me.
... love how my Facebook statuses always create some sort of stir.
... think that we should plan a girls' weekend for Capetonian blogging babes! Sounds like fun to me!

It's Friday peeps, finally! What are y'alls up to this weekend? Anybody in Hermanus? Let me know and I might just join you for a cocktail.

Siren Design at YDE - here it is!

Last week I went for a photo shoot for Siren Design, a new range at Young Designers Emporium (YDE), and I shared all the exclusive behind-the-scenes juiciness with you. I received some of the final photos from the amazing photographer, Drikus Le Roux. Not only do I want to share the photos with you, but I want you to have another look at the amazing dresses that are all available at YDE!

This has to be my favourite photo!

That bunny is just killing me. He is just overloaded with cuteness and fur.

Behind the Scenes of the SIREN Photo Shoot: New Range at YDE

Yesterday I had the most fun at this photo shoot! As in, total. The shoot was for a new label called Siren, new at YDE, and the pictures will be used for advertising purposes. I was the lucky girl who got to wear these lovely dresses and model them for the designer.

More about the label:

Monique du Preez, designer of Siren, launched this fabulous label earlier this month. The range is available at seven YDE branches already - Century City, Cresta, Centurion, Gateway, Loch Logan, Rosebank and The Glen.

This is Monique hard at work.

Have a look at the absolutely stunning dresses, some of which are already in the shops! These were taken with my camera in between breaks, but I will definitely put the final results up as soon as I get it and leave the link to the YDE fan page on Facebook. How cute are my fellow-models? One rabbit got the hang of posing while the other one hid in the corner.

The talented Eloise Dreyer did my hair and make-up. She really lived up to her reputation and she did an excellent job. I mean, who does hair and make-up, flawlessly, in 15 minutes? Between touching up my make-up and curling my hair, she had time to tweet, take pictures with my camera and even helped me with posing. Oh, she also gave me a small gift - lip gloss with a built-in light! I loved working with her and I hope that we get to do it again real soon.

Drikus le Roux did the photography. He is an awesome person and made me feel really comfortable in front of the lens. We had total fun - playing with bubblegum, pulling my hair, kissing rabbits and loads of jump shots. I cannot wait to see the final results!

Girls, these dresses are really lovely and I am going to buy the floral one on my next trip to YDE. Thank you to the wonderful team I worked with yesterday and a special thank you to Monique for letting me choose a dress to keep. This is the one I decided on. Love it.

Saw anything you like ladies? Now go shopping!

Here is one photo so long that was just put on Drikus' facebook group. Isn't he amazing?

My upcoming photo shoot for a new label at YDE

Today I’m going for another photo shoot. It’s my most favourite thing to do in the world! I’m an amateur-blogger and a wannabe-model, so why do I do what I do? Simply because I love it. That’s it. I can’t be a full time model with photo shoots and interviews lined up and I can’t be an established blogger with a list of sponsors, so I’ll simply do bits of each. I might not get paid for the advertising I do for others and most of the time photos are the only thing I get to take home from a hard day’s shoot. But you know what? I always see the glass as half full. I’m having the time of my life. I’m getting so much exposure and a wonderful experience! I’m not only meeting extremely talented people, but I get to work with them too. Make-up artists, photographers, models, actors, stylists and really cool events – who can say no to this?

My advice is always: When opportunity comes knocking, make sure you open that door!

Before I get all philosophical on you, let me get back to my exciting news. I’m going to spend my day with photographer, Drikus Le Roux, and I will finally get to work with Eloise Dreyer for a photo shoot done for a new label at YDE. For a change, my photo shoot will have an actual purpose (and I will be wearing clothes)! Another part I'm looking forward to? I'm going to be posing with the cutest 'models' ever. Furry rabbits. It will tie in with the whole Alice in Wonderland theme they're planning. I cannot wait to play dress-up.

Watch this space for behind-the-scenes stuff and to read more about the new label. Also follow me and Eloise on Twitter today for tweets about the shoot and perhaps a Twitpic! Remember, you saw it here first.
